Creating a logo for a client is complicated. Creating a logo for yourself? Even more so. That probably explains why so many agencies opt for minimalism when designing their own identity.

In fact, this trend extends beyond agency logos. Design as a whole is simplifying. Flattening. Helvetica-izing.

For our own logo, we wanted to do the opposite.

Idea

We thought: Why settle for a logo when we could have a COAT OF ARMS?

But coats of arms are serious business. There are rules to follow. So we brought in the biggest design nerd we know, our friend François Beauchesne, to craft a proper emblem. One that truly represents who we are, where we come from, and where we’re headed. Mission accomplished, as demonstrated in the video above.
