When the members of De.Ville, one of our favourite bands, were offered a tour that would cover Montreal, Casablanca, and Paris, they jumped for joy. But their excitement quickly turned to anxiety when they realized the tour was only a few weeks away, and that they had no merchandise to sell. With merch being crucial for musicians to make money in the current music industry, De.Ville decided to contact us to find a solution.
Challenge
The tour departure date was so immediate that producing any actual merchandise for the band, let alone creating new items specifically for the tour, was impossible.
Idea
“No problem!" we exclaimed.
“We’ll buy a bunch of items featuring the cities of the tour, like a hat from Old Montreal, a Paris Saint-Germain t-shirt, a Casablanca scarf, etc., and we’ll print OVER the existing designs by adding the tour dates and the rest of the visuals around the city names already on the pieces.”
The result? A collection of pièces uniques that quickly sold out.
