The Laval University’s Rouge & Or is the most decorated team in the history of Quebec varsity football. We had the honour of coming up with a slogan worthy of their achievements.
Challenge
Though the Rouge & Or is primarily known for its football, the franchise also represents all of the other elite sports teams of the university. We needed to find a slogan that would resonate beyond the football field, and make an impact all the way to the stands of the university’s other sports teams.

Idea
We wanted to find a rallying cry that would be flexible enough to apply to multiple disciplines, and versatile enough that it could change its meaning depending on the tone used and the context in which it’s applied.

Bienvenue à Québec. It’s what we say with honesty when welcoming new teammates.
Bienvenue à Québec. It’s what we say with a little laugh when highlighting one of the many quirky things that make the city so unique.
And finally, Bienvenue à Québec. It’s what we say while looking down at our opponent after we’ve just tackled them to the ground.
